Somerset County NJ native Chris Aggabao currently assistant coaches the St. Josephs Blue Storm (4th and 5th graders) in Hillsborough, NJ. Last season they had a winning record and made the playoffs. Chris has over 20 years of basketball playing experience, most notably winning the CYM High School Basketball Playoff Championship with the Saint Joseph's Blue Storm of Hillsborough. Chris also has an undefeated regular season record-playing on the Princeton Recreation High School Basketball team. Currently, he plays at Iron Peak. Chris continues to pursue additional coaching opportunities. He is certified in Rutgers’ “Sports Awareness for Educating Today’s Youth” and is certified in Virtus.
Prior to becoming a coach, he worked the basketball scoreboard at the Montgomery Upper Middle School for the official school teams. Chris is currently an assistant coach for the Saint Joseph’s Blue Storm 4th grade boys team in Hillsborough. In addition to his basketball coaching experience, Chris trains at Steadfast Strength. Previously, he trained and had a nutrition coach at NextFit. He is also certified in “Rules and Mechanics” through the IAABO (referee program).
Chris holds a Masters in Education from Rider University and currently is a public school teacher (paraprofessional) for the Bedminster Township School. He has been a part of physical education classes for elementary/middle school students and has assisted with the Unified Afterschool Sports program for middle school students.
Chris is also a professional musician, holding a second masters degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College of Rider University. Chris enjoys also utilizing his teaching skills as a piano teacher and educator for kids of all ages.
